BAC hosts information session

Manama : In line with its commitment to build on the airport’s status as a major international airport in the region, Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the managing body and operator of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), hosted an information session for the management and sale of advertising at New Passenger Terminal.

The session was held at Mövenpick Hotel, Muharraq and was attended by representatives from BAC and interested bidders from suitably qualified and experienced owners and operators of leading advertising companies, both regional and international. The successful bidder will design, invest and manage the Advertising Concession for the new terminal at Bahrain International Airport.

Mohamed Khalil, Chief Commercial Officer of BAC, said: “The launch of our commercial tender programme is another significant milestone in our $1.1 billion transformation. Increasing the size of our retail space and bringing in new concepts is central to our plans to give passengers the best possible experience in becoming a great airport. This advertising concession is a multi-million dollar 10 years contract and will require investment in infrastructure and design of the new airport passenger terminal building and management of the new advertising assets.”
