Coast Guard Conducts Safety Checks Along Muharraq Coastlines

The Coast Guard conducted a joint inspection campaign along several coastlines in Muharraq Governorate to strengthen maritime safety and address violations. The campaign checked safety equipment, boat licence plates and side numbers, navigation licences and ownership documents, as well as the installation and operation of AIS devices. Authorities also targeted unlicensed migrant workers and monitored compliance with fishing regulations. The campaign was carried out in cooperation with several government agencies, including Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate, the Supreme Council for Environment’s General Directorate of Marine Resources, and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority.
