His Majesty visits Youth City 2030, highlights 10,000 training opportunities and urges young Bahrainis to lead the Kingdom’s development

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited Youth City 2030, where he reviewed programmes aimed at developing Bahraini youth's skills and abilities and preparing them to contribute to the Kingdom’s national development.

During the visit, His Majesty was briefed on the 15th edition of Youth City, which features more than 324 training programmes and over 10,000 training opportunities, with 9,635 young men and women participating. The programme also includes 204 local and international partnerships, providing participants with diverse experiences and expertise.

His Majesty toured the city’s main centres, including the Science and Technology Centre, Arts and Culture Centre, Entrepreneurship and Leadership Centre, Media and Digital Innovation Centre and Summer Sports City. He viewed training programmes and practical activities designed to strengthen young people’s capabilities across different fields.

The King also visited the Bahrainouna platform, which promotes national belonging and citizenship values, and viewed projects developed by participants in the Young Trader initiative, learning about their entrepreneurial ideas and experiences.

His Majesty watched a performance by Youth City talents and met youth leaders and participants.

Commending their efforts, His Majesty said young people represent the future of Bahrain and are continuing the work of previous generations in serving the Kingdom. He expressed confidence in their abilities, aspirations and readiness to contribute to national development.

His Majesty also praised the continued success of Youth City 2030 and its innovative programmes, stressing the importance of empowering young Bahrainis, developing their skills and encouraging creativity.

He commended the strategic youth programmes overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad’s efforts to empower young people and support their initiatives.

His Majesty also praised the contributions of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to Bahrain’s sports and youth movements and thanked the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the volunteers supporting Youth City 2030.
