Novorossiysk: Ukraine launched a major strike on Russia's Black Sea port city of Novorossiysk, damaging two key grain export facilities and causing them to halt operations, according to Russian and Ukrainian officials and grain industry sources.

The attack damaged the Novorossiysk Grain Terminal and the Novorossiysk Bread Products Plant, critical sites for Russia's grain exports. The disruption occurred during the peak export season and may impact shipments from one of Russia's most important agricultural gateways.

The midnight assault also targeted a Russian naval station in the harbour, where warships were reportedly damaged. Russian authorities stated the incident killed three people, including a toddler, while Ukrainian officials said it was part of a campaign to target Russia's military and economic infrastructure.

The disruption has sparked fears about global food supplies and pricing, particularly because Russia is the world's top wheat exporter. Moscow accused Kyiv of endangering global food security, while Ukraine has regularly accused Russia of attacking Black Sea infrastructure to harm agricultural exports.
