Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has condemned Houthi attacks on civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, calling them acts of aggression.

The Cabinet has also ordered authorities to provide the highest level of medical care to those wounded.

The ministers also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to defend its sovereignty, citizens and residents, while rejecting Houthi attacks on commercial vessels and international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman chaired Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting in Jeddah and briefed ministers on his talks with the leaders of Egypt, Greece and Oman.

The Cabinet also discussed developments in the Palestinian territories, efforts to stop Israeli violations in Jerusalem and settlement expansion. It welcomed a Saudi-German memorandum to establish a strategic dialogue aimed at strengthening coordination between the two countries.
