Geneva: Researchers are increasingly turning to artificial intelligence to improve natural disaster prediction, with new AI models promising to make forecasts faster, more precise, and more valuable for emergency preparedness.

AI systems can evaluate massive amounts of meteorological, climate, and environmental data, enabling experts to find complicated patterns associated with catastrophic events. Researchers are investigating their potential utility in forecasting hurricanes, floods, wildfires, and other dangers, with the goal of delivering earlier alerts and giving communities more time to plan.
