RERA Board Reviews Progress

The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Board of Directors held its third meeting of 2026, chaired by Essam Abdullah Khalaf, reviewing efforts to develop regulatory frameworks governing Bahrain’s real estate sector.

Khalaf stressed the importance of updating legislation and regulations to improve flexibility and facilitate transactions for investors and stakeholders. CEO Ebrahim Mohammed Abul outlined plans to develop regulatory and executive procedures while strengthening inspections, transparency and governance.
