LONDON: British Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced that the G20 club of wealthy nations will work on developing critical artificial intelligence safety standards.
Speaking at the United Nations on Tuesday, Burnham stated that he is placing AI directly at the heart of the UK's upcoming G20 presidency in 2027.
The British leader outlined plans to work closely with international partners toward agreeing on a single set of global principles and standards.
According to Burnham, these coordinated standards are designed to ensure essential transparency, increase preparedness, and guarantee safe AI development worldwide.
