Celebrating seven decades of dedicated service, empowering lives, and fostering community support, the Indian Ladies Association (ILA) has announced its grand 70th Anniversary Platinum Jubilee Gala Celebration and the launch of the inaugural ILA CSR Excellence Awards 2026.
Held under the patronage of Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa—Wife of His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, and Member of the Supreme Council for Women—the landmark celebration will take place on Thursday, December 10, 2026, at the Gulf Convention Centre, Gulf Hotel.
The announcement was made during a press conference led by ILA President Smitha Jensen, alongside Platinum Jubilee Co-chairs Sarada Ajith and Meera Ravi, CSR Excellence Awards Committee Lead Rekha Utham, Committee Member Kavithasree, and senior representatives from Knowledge Partner KPMG-Fakhro, together with ILA Managing Committee members.

The Platinum Jubilee Gala Celebration will present a celebratory evening reflecting 70 years of community service, cultural unity, and cross-cultural friendship with symbolic entertainment and live fusion music.
The Inaugural ILA CSR Excellence Awards 2026 Ceremony will recognize corporate entities and outstanding individuals, aligning with ILA's motto "Service Before Self". Awards will be presented across Corporate Categories including Excellence in Women Empowerment, Sustainable Environment Initiative, and CSR Company of the Year, alongside an Individual Award for Woman of Impact – Lifetime Achievement Award. Developed in a knowledge partnership with KPMG-Fakhro, entries will be digitally processed, assessed by KPMG-Fakhro in the first round, and evaluated by a distinguished jury panel.
The evening will also feature the Official Release of the Platinum Jubilee Commemorative Book, a historic publication capturing the legacy of the Indian Ladies Association and other pioneering women's groups in Bahrain.
All profits from ticket sales and corporate packages will directly support ILA's ongoing local charitable initiatives in Bahrain, including Sneha, a free recreation center for children with special needs. For further details, ILA PR Secretary Tessy Cherian can be contacted at 3683 3254.
