New Higher Education Strategy
Higher Education Council launched its Higher Education and Scientific Research Strategy 2026-2030, developed with Times Higher Education and based on international best practices and consultations with more than 35 government and private organisations.
The strategy includes 26 initiatives and 37 performance indicators, focusing on education quality, research and innovation, global partnerships, digital transformation and preparing graduates for future skills and labour market needs.
Man Arrested Over Social Media Content
The General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security arrested a 39-year-old man for allegedly misusing social media by publishing content that publicly insulted a religious symbol revered by a religious community, in a manner that could incite discord and harm social peace.
The directorate said it has taken legal procedures against the suspect to prepare for referring the case to the Public Prosecution
