Leaders Congratulate Morocco

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent congratulations to His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco on the anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution.

His Majesty praised the longstanding fraternal ties between Bahrain and Morocco and affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also sent congratulations to King Mohammed VI, as well as to Crown Prince Moulay Hassan and Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.

HM King Offers Condolences

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent condolences to Hassan Abdul-Aal Al-Ataifi and his family following the death of his wife and three children in a residential building fire.

His Majesty expressed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for the deceased to rest in eternal peace.

Transport Official Meets UNDP Representative

Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, met Asmaa Shalaby, UNDP Resident Representative in Bahrain.

The meeting discussed strengthening cooperation on sustainable development initiatives related to the transport and postal sectors, as well as supporting inclusive and diversified growth.

Man Held Over Social Media Posts

The General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested a 60-year-old man over allegedly misusing social media to publish content containing public insults against religiously revered figures.

The directorate said legal procedures have been taken ahead of referring the case to the Public Prosecution.

Authorities urged social media users to comply with laws and avoid publishing or circulating unlawful content.

GCC Housing Awards

Bahrain hosted a meeting of the judging committee for the seventh GCC Housing Award at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.

The meeting brought together delegations from GCC member states and the GCC Secretariat to review projects submitted for the 2026 award, themed “An integrated housing project that enhances quality of life.”
