His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the Gadeha “Up to the Challenge” Junior Training Camp, accompanied by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King.

During the visit, the King observed a range of training exercises, programmes, activities and practical experiences designed to develop participants’ personal abilities and strengthen values including commitment, discipline, self-confidence, national belonging and teamwork.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad briefed His Majesty on the camp’s objectives and programmes, the participation of young people across different age groups, and the positive response from parents to the initiative and its goals.

His Majesty commended the success of the camp’s first edition, describing Gadeha as a leading national initiative and praising its diverse training programmes, practical experiences and the strong participation and engagement of young people.

The King emphasised the camp’s important role in developing participants’ physical and mental capabilities, strengthening their character and national identity, and providing them with the experience and skills needed to assume responsibility, demonstrate leadership, rely on themselves and face challenges.

The King stressed the central role of young people in Bahrain’s development and their contribution to strengthening the Kingdom’s international standing and leadership.

His Majesty said that youth are the makers of the future and pioneers of innovation, emphasising that investing in their potential and empowering them represents an investment in national development and the progress and prosperity of society.
