Woman accused of using forged academic certificate since 2005 remains in detention

The Third Lower Criminal Court adjourned the trial of a woman accused of forging and using an academic certificate to renew her employment until August 31.

The Public Prosecution referred the case to court after the Ministry of Education reported the suspected forged certificate.

The university named on the certificate confirmed it was not genuine and that the woman was not registered in its records.

The defendant admitted using the certificate since 2005, while investigators found no evidence that she had studied at the university.

She remains in pretrial detention pending the court proceedings.
