Bahrain Red Crescent Accredited to Deliver AHA Training

The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) has received accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA) to operate as an authorized Training Center, enabling it to deliver AHA-certified training programmes in Bahrain.

The programmes will include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid and emergency care courses, with advanced programmes to be introduced later in accordance with AHA guidelines.

Through the accreditation, the BRCS Training Center will provide programmes based on international standards, with a strong emphasis on practical training. Participants will learn skills to respond effectively to emergencies at home, in workplaces and public settings, and take appropriate action until professional medical assistance arrives.

The Society said the accreditation represents an important development in its training activities and reflects its commitment to regularly updating course content and adopting evidence-based practices in health training.

It also supports the AHA’s efforts to improve community preparedness and promote greater awareness of health and emergency response.

BRCS said its recognition as an authorized Training Center also complements its role within the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The humanitarian principles of the Movement closely align with the AHA’s focus on prevention, awareness and equipping people with the skills needed to respond quickly to life-threatening emergencies.
