Bahrain Backs UN Security Council Statement on Houthi Attacks

Bahrain has welcomed a statement issued by members of the United Nations Security Council condemning missile attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, as well as assaults targeting commercial vessels in the region.

Upholding International Law and Maritime Security

The statement also underscored the importance of upholding international law, adherence to relevant UN Security Council resolutions, respect for Yemen's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the protection of freedom of maritime navigation.
