National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) President Ali Ahmed Al Derazi received Australia’s Ambassador-designate to Bahrain, Miles Armitage, during a familiarisation visit focused on strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The two sides discussed human rights issues, opportunities to exchange expertise and current regional developments and their implications for human rights. Armitage praised the NIHR’s role and stressed the importance of continued communication and cooperation.
