2 Killed in US Army Helicopter Crash in Texas

Texas: A U.S. Army AH-64E Apache attack helicopter crashed in Texas on Wednesday, killing two soldiers on board.

The aircraft was based at Fort Hood and went down in Salado, according to an official statement released by the military base.

Fort Hood personnel remain on scene working alongside local first responders, though details regarding what the aircraft was doing at the time remain unspecified.

Military officials are currently withholding the identities of the deceased soldiers until after their next of kin are notified.

The deadly incident comes around two months after a U.S. Air Force B-52 bomber crashed in California, killing all eight people on board.
