Paris, France: Twelve countries including Britain, Canada, and France announced plans on Tuesday to impose restrictions on trade in goods with Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

The decision responds directly to increasing attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian villages in the occupied territory.

Foreign ministers confirmed their intention to target trade from settlements that are illegal under international law through national or European measures.

The full coalition comprises Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Participating nations stated they are actively considering these trade measures in accordance with their respective national procedures.
